Completing Manufacturing Orders for a batch-trackable products
For a product for which you are not tracking batches, you can complete Manufacturing Orders (MO) either by chancing the MO status to "Done" or by completing all the Production Operations.
However, if you are tracking batches for a product, the options for completing a Manufacturing Orders depend on whether the batch number is already assigned to the open MO or not.
Here are the possible scenarios and how Katana handles each situation:
|Batch number already assigned to open MO||Batch number not assigned to open MO|
|Changing the Production status for the MO to "Done"||MO is completed and products will be added to the assigned batch.||Katana will ask you to assign a batch number to the MO and then MO is completed.|
|Completing all Production Operations for the MO||MO is completed and products will be added to the assigned batch.||MO production status will remain as "Work in progress". You have to change the MO Production status to "Done". Katana will ask you to assign a batch number to the MO and then MO is completed.|
