The Schedule includes all your Manufacturing orders (both Make-to-Stock and Make-to-Order). This view helps you manage all production jobs in a single queue.

The Schedule is the production schedule for your workshop/factory, listing Manufacturing orders by order of priority. Drag and drop orders to adjust the schedule. Production personnel should start working with the Manufacturing order (MO) at the top of the list and work their way down.

If you'd like to manage production tasks from a more detailed level, you can use the Tasks tab to track tasks for your Resources and Operators.

Operators can log in to the Shop Floor App, a mobile-friendly web app for the production team where they can see and complete tasks, report consumed ingredients and manufactured products, and more.

The Schedule tab is useful as it:

NOTE: Rows in the Schedule tab are listed by MO priority.

Links and commitments to Sales Orders

The Customer column in the Schedule tab shows any SO (w/ customer name) that a MO is committed to.

Make-to-Order Manufacturing orders are permanently linked to an underlying SO. Changing the priority of one of these Manufacturing orders doesn't break the link, but it does affect the priority of the SO in the Sell screen.

Make-to-Stock Manufacturing orders are not permanently linked to a SO. For this type of MO, commitments to a SO are based on order priority and might be recalculated if a MO or SO is reprioritized.

The Delivery deadline column shows the delivery deadline for any related customer order.

Open and Done Manufacturing orders

When a MO status is changed to Done, the order is automatically moved to the Done table of the Schedule tab and a Done date is assigned to the MO. A MO is moved back to the Open table if the status is changed from Done to a previous status.

You can filter the Done Manufacturing orders table directly in Katana or export it to a CSV file to analyze your production metrics.
