This is a guide for setting up a workflow that marks the order as shipped in Etsy when the Sales order (SO) delivery status is changed to Delivered in Katana. You can use a similar approach for syncing fulfillment status to other apps available on Make (ex Integromat). It's also possible to sync fulfillment status opposite way - from Etsy to Katana. This workflow adds additional functionality after setting up importing Sales orders from Etsy to Katana.
Note: Setting up the workflow based on the Make template takes a couple of minutes. Most of the configurations are already prefilled, you just need to connect your accounts. The walkthrough in this article is meant to give you further context in case you want to adjust it or troubleshoot problems.
To start syncing fulfillment status from Katana to Etsy:
1. Open the Make template. Of course, you can always expand and customize the scenario to meet your own individual needs.
2. Create a new scenario from the template.
3. First step will automatically pop up. Add a new Katana webhook to get notified when order status changes:
- Click "Add" to add a new webhook.
- Select your Katana account.
- After clicking "Save", a new webhook is automatically added to your Katana account and mapped to Make.
- Continue the template and next step will pop up.
4. Get a Sales Order from Katana for more details about the order:
- Select your Katana account
- Map "Object: Object ID" from "Katana - Watch Delivered Order" module as Sales Order ID.
5. Update the receipt as shipped in Etsy:
- Select your Etsy account.
- Select your Etsy Shop.
- Map "Order Number" from "Katana - Get a Sales Order" module as Receipt ID. This will search a matching receipt by Katana Order Number.
- Select "Yes" as Shipped.
6. Your workflow is ready! Run once, go to Katana and mark an example Etsy order as delivered to make sure everything works.
7. Schedule the workflow to run immediately. This means that order status changes are synced real-time.
