How StockTrim works with Katana

Katana provides real-time operational data (manufacturing, inventory, fulfillment), which StockTrim uses for advanced forecasting. Together, they allow smarter purchasing and production planning.

Data synced from Katana to StockTrim:

  • Sales orders

  • Products

  • Recipes / BOMs

  • Inventory

  • Purchase orders

  • Suppliers

Inside StockTrim, you can:

  • Adjust forecasts.

  • Set lead times, minimum purchasing quantities, and package sizes.

  • Analyze demand patterns and safety stock needs.

Data flow back to Katana:

  • Create POs in StockTrim → Import to Katana once marked as Sent.

  • Receive items in Katana → Status syncs back to StockTrim.

Note: If you use StockTrim for purchase planning, do not also rely on Katana’s manual safety stock levels for the same purpose.
