Katana's Insights screen is a flexible and modern dashboard that allows you to filter, sort, and analyze data. This article helps you explore all the possibilities to get the most valuable insights into your business.

Search for and apply filters

  1. Each tab in the Insights screen contains a filter menu on the left that affects the entire report. A filter can be applied to multiple fields at the same time.

NOTE: Each filter only applies to that specific report tab, you can't apply a single filter across all tabs.

Interacting with charts and applying cross-filters

  1. Each graph offers the flexibility to apply cross-filters for further analysis on the dashboard. This means that you can select, click, and drag each graph or table, which will apply a filter to the rest of the report.

  2. For example, if you want to see a certain period in sales.

Choose part of a segment to filter in insights

  3. Select and drag this certain area on the graph.

  4. The rest of the dashboard will then cross-filter to show data for this selected period.

  5. This way you can apply a filter to tables, bar charts etc. Choose Clear filter to clear a filter if you no longer want to use it.

  2. Here you can choose extra fields in the pivot table. For example Quantity and Profit margin.
