Set default purchase prices in foreign currencies for each supplier. This helps streamline the purchasing process by automatically using the specified currency and price in purchase orders, ensuring accurate financial tracking and simplifying multi-currency management.

If you buy materials internationally, suppliers may quote their prices in their local currency. Katana allows you to set default purchase prices in your supplier's currency.

To set a default purchase price

  1. On a purchasable Product or Material card the default purchase price is always presented in the supplier's currency.

If there is no default supplier selected, the default purchase price is in your base currency.

  2. If your purchase prices are in a non-base currency, you can see the prices in your base currency by clicking on the "i" icon.

The prices you set as default will be used on purchase orders. If you set supplier currency and purchase prices, you can start buying in multiple currencies.
