How to delete invoices created in Xero via Katana

Manage invoice and bill deletions directly in Xero, with status updates reflected in Katana.


Where to delete invoices and bills

Invoices and bills created in Xero through the Katana integration cannot be deleted in Katana.


They must be deleted directly in Xero:

  • Invoices: Navigate to the Sales section in Xero.

  • Bills: Navigate to the Bills section in Xero.
    Find the relevant document and delete it.


What happens in Katana after deletion

  • Once an invoice or bill is deleted in Xero, Katana updates the status automatically.

  • For sales orders, the Invoice status will revert to Not invoiced.

  • For purchase orders, the Bill status will revert to Not billed.


Sync timing

After you delete the document in Xero, it may take up to 10 minutes for the deletion to be reflected in Katana.
