Direct-to-consumer manufacturers using Shopify or WooCommerce platforms often provide product customization possibilities for their customers to various extent.

If your customers can choose from multiple different product options (e.g. colors, sizes, add a custom engraving), the options selected by the customer might not be defined on your website as variants of products but rather saved to each ordered item as custom line item properties on Shopify or as metadata on WooCommerce. This data is imported to Katana and will also be displayed at the production level. Check the following video for more details.
