Archived items

  • Indicator: The item's name is prefixed with [ARCHIVED] and appears crossed out.

  • Behavior:

    • Archived items are removed from selection in new sales, purchase, and manufacturing orders.

    • They remain in existing records and do not affect current stock quantities.

    • Variants of archived items are hidden from the Inventory, Batches, Plan, and Replenishment lists.

    • Archived items can still be edited as needed.

  • Restoration:

    • To unarchive an item, open its card, click on the three-dot menu, and select Unarchive.

Deleted items

  • Indicator: The item's name is prefixed with [DELETED] and appears crossed out.

  • Behavior:

    • Deleted items are permanently removed from Katana and cannot be restored.

    • They remain visible in existing orders but cannot be used in new ones.

  • Restoration:

    • To restore a deleted item, you must create a new item with the same name and attributes.

Handling crossed-out Items in orders

If a crossed-out item appears in an order:

  1. Delete the line item from the order.

  2. Replace it with a new or unarchived item as appropriate.

Regularly reviewing item statuses helps maintain accurate stock records and smooth operations.
