Katana allows you to sell in multiple currencies in WooCommerce while automatically converting all foreign currency sales orders (SOs) into your Katana base currency. This ensures you can track and report your sales consistently, even when customers pay in different currencies.
Requirements
You’ll need a multi-currency extension set up in your WooCommerce store to sell in different currencies.
How it works
When a WooCommerce SO syncs to Katana, the order’s original currency is also imported.
Katana then converts sales amounts into your base currency, so all financial data is consistent across reports.
In Katana, the sales order will display both:
The currency from WooCommerce, and
The converted amount in your base currency.
Exchange rate handling
When an SO is imported, Katana uses the exchange rate at that time and fixes it for the order.
You can manually edit the currency rate in Katana if needed.
The rate does not update automatically over time (unlike manually created SOs in Katana, which can pull updated rates).
Key takeaways
Multi-currency requires a WooCommerce extension and a Standard+ Katana plan.
Orders keep their original WooCommerce currency but are also converted into Katana’s base currency.
Exchange rates are fixed at import but can be manually adjusted.
