Control whether Payment pending orders from Shopify are imported to Katana.


Default behavior

When your Shopify store is connected to Katana:

  • All open sales orders (SOs) with a Paid payment status are automatically imported.

  • You can choose whether or not to also import Payment pending orders.


Why you might disable payment pending orders

By default, importing any SO into Katana creates commitments for:

If Payment pending orders are imported:

  • Katana will reserve stock or production capacity for them.

  • This may cause issues if you want to commit resources only after payment is confirmed.

Disabling Payment pending imports prevents these commitments until the order is paid.


How to disable payment pending imports

When connecting your Shopify store โ€” or reconfiguring an existing connection โ€” youโ€™ll see an option:

  • Leave this checked if you want to import these orders.

  • Uncheck it to prevent payment pending orders from being pulled into Katana.

You can adjust this setting at any time by reconfiguring your Shopify integration.
