Streamline your shipping process by connecting Shippo with Katana through Extensiv Integration Manager.


What is Shippo?

Shippo is a shipping technology platform, API, and web app that helps e-commerce businesses, marketplaces, and platforms streamline their shipping processes.

It helps you:

  • Compare carrier rates

  • Print shipping labels

  • Manage shipments in one place

When integrated with Katana, you can send sales orders (SOs) directly to Shippo, making order fulfillment faster and more efficient.


How it works

  • In Extensiv, Katana is set up as a Cart (Order Source) and Shippo as a WMS (Order Destination).

  • SOs are sent from Katana โ†’ Shippo via Extensiv when:

    • The order is created, OR

    • The order is marked as Packed in Katana (you choose this in Extensiv Cart settings).

  • Once an order is shipped in Shippo (WMS), the SO status in Katana is updated to Delivered.

Note: Before starting, decide whether Katana will act as an Order Source, Order Destination, or both. The recommended setup for Shippo is Katana = Cart, Shippo = WMS. Read more.


Setting up Katana + Shippo

Step 1: Create an Extensiv account

Step 2: Connect Katana

  • In Extensiv, set up Katana as either an Order Source (Cart) or Order Destination (WMS).

  • For Shippo, the recommended flow is:

    • Katana = Cart (Order Source)

    • Shippo = WMS (Order Destination)

Step 3: Configure Shippo in Extensiv

  • Add Shippo as the WMS inside Extensiv

  • Set up the Shippo account and grant API access inside Extensiv.

Whatโ€™s Supported

  • Import SOs from Katana โ†’ Shippo

  • Update the order status back in Katana once shipped
