Fulfill orders faster by connecting ShipStation, a multi-channel shipping solution, with Katana through Extensiv Integration Manager.

What you can do

ShipStation is a multi-channel shipping solution for fulfilling sales order deliveries. It can be connected to Katana through Extensiv Integration Manager.

With this integration you can:

  • Use Katana as an Order Source (Cart) → send sales orders from Katana to ShipStation.

  • Use Katana as an Order Destination (WMS) → import sales orders from ShipStation (or other Carts) into Katana.

  • Use Katana as both Cart and WMS for multi-channel order flows.

ShipStation is a multi-channel shipping solution that is used to fulfill sales order deliveries and can be connected to Katana through Extensiv Integration Manager.

How It Works

The connection between Katana and ShipStation can be set up in 3 different ways, depending on what you need:

1. Katana as Cart (Recommended)

  • Katana = Cart (Order Source)

  • ShipStation = WMS (Order Destination)

  • With this setup:

    • SOs (Not Delivered) are sent from Katana → ShipStation when they are created or marked as Packed (configurable in Extensiv).

    • Once shipped in ShipStation, shipment + tracking info is sent back to Katana.

    • SO status in Katana updates to Delivered, and the customer receives tracking details.

2. Katana as WMS

  • Katana = WMS (Order Destination)

  • ShipStation = Cart (Order Source)

  • With this setup:

    • Extensiv imports SOs and related info from ShipStation (or other connected Carts) → Katana.

    • Inventory updates in Katana are handled based on your Extensiv sync settings.

You can only connect one WMS per Extensiv Merchant account. To connect multiple, you’ll need to upgrade your plan.

3. Katana as Both Cart and WMS

  • Extensiv supports advanced multi-channel setups.

  • You can connect Katana as both Cart (sending SOs out) and WMS (receiving SOs in).

  • Requires an upgraded Extensiv plan if you want more than one WMS per account.
