Connect Katana with eBay using Extensiv Integration Manager
Overview
With the Katana + eBay integration (via Extensiv Integration Manager), you can:
Import sales orders and customer address data from eBay → Katana.
Automatically create new products in Katana if no matches are found.
Sync inventory levels from Katana → eBay.
This integration is designed for order management and inventory sync.
Note: fulfillment status, shipping tracking, and returns are not supported.
Setting up the integration
1. Create an Extensiv account (if you don't have an existing account)
Sign up for a free trial account at Extensiv Integration Manager.
Log in and connect to Katana. (See step-by-step guide).
2. Add eBay as a cart in Extensiv
In Extensiv, go to Carts → New Setup.
Find eBay in the list and select your eBay Marketplace.
Each eBay Marketplace requires its own Cart connection.
3. Authorize API access
In the New eBay Setup screen, click Grant Us API Access. (read more)
Log in to your eBay account in the pop-up window.
Authorize Extensiv to act on your behalf.
Return to Extensiv to confirm the connection was successful.
4. Configure eBay cart settings
Payment Status → Select which order statuses should be pulled into Katana.
Item SKU Field → Defines which SKU field Extensiv uses.
Required for matching products between eBay and Katana.
If SKU is missing, Extensiv falls back to the eBay Internal ID.
Translate Item’s Code → Extensiv can match SKUs to aliases before sending them to Katana.
Default: WMS Master SKU, which checks aliases and converts them to Katana SKUs if matched.
eBay Product Sync Options →
If Sync Product Data = Yes, Extensiv can update inventory levels from Katana to eBay.
For SKUs that exist in both systems, inventory will sync automatically.
Hover over the ? icons in Extensiv for more details on each setting.
5. Configure Katana WMS information
Warehouse → Select the Katana location where orders will be imported.
Auto Create Missing Katana Products →
If enabled, Extensiv will create new products in Katana for unmatched SKUs.
Note: Products are added as new items, not variants.
Create Customer Addresses → Decide whether billing and shipping details from eBay orders should be included in the Katana customer profile.
6. Test & save
Your integration is ready!
eBay sales orders will now import into Katana.
Missing products can be created automatically.
Inventory updates from Katana will sync to eBay.
Notes & limitations
Fulfillment status, shipping tracking, and returns are not supported.
Each eBay Marketplace must be connected separately.
Extensiv cannot create product variants — only standalone products.
If SKUs are not set up, Extensiv uses the eBay Internal ID to match products.
