Deleting a stock transfer will remove the record and reverse any inventory movements it caused, helping you correct mistakes and keep your stock accurate.

When to delete a stock transfer

Use this if:

  • The transfer was made in error (wrong location, items, quantities, etc.).

  • The transfer is no longer needed.

  • You want to entirely remove the transfer history.

Step-by-step: Deleting a transfer

  1. Navigate to Stock screen β†’ Stock transfers tab.

  2. Select either the Open or Done tab depending on the transfer's status.

Stock transfers tab of the stock screen

  3. Click to open the transfer you wish to delete.

  4. Click the β€’β€’β€’ menu in the top-right corner.

  5. Choose Delete.

  6. Confirm by clicking Yes in the pop-up.

Once deleted, the transfer is removed from the list, and all stock movements are automatically reversed.

Important notes

  • Only users with delete permissions for stock documents can perform this action

  • Deletion reverses stock changes made during the transfer

  • If you simply need to edit a transfer, consider using Revert instead of delete
