Deleting products helps maintain an organized and up-to-date inventory by removing items that are no longer in use. This process involves selecting the product and confirming its deletion, which also ensures that all related inventory and sales data are cleaned up.

Note: Products can't be deleted if they have item variants with quantities in stock and/or are included in open orders.

You can delete products individually or in bulk.

To delete products individually

  1. Navigate to the Items screen and find the product from the Products table. Click on the product to open the product card.

  2. Click on the 3-dots at the top corner of the product card and select Delete from the drop-down menu.

Whether you delete it individually or in bulk, Katana will notify you if a product is currently used on any open orders or product recipes. A deleted item will show a strikethrough on orders.

Note: Stock movement history is removed when an item/variant is deleted
