Understand how your team is performing by comparing planned and actual time for production tasks. This helps you:

  • Optimize workflows

  • Identify inefficiencies

  • Improve production planning and costing

Where to view the data

You can compare time data for completed tasks from: Make screen > Tasks tab > Done table.

Here, you’ll find:

  • Planned Time: The estimated time allocated for a task.

  • Actual Time: The real time it took to complete the task (tracked via the Shop Floor App or manually entered on the Katana main site).

How to analyze task time

To view and analyze in Katana:

  1. Navigate to Make screen > Tasks tab > Done table

  2. Look under the Planned/Actual Time column.

  3. Use the filters to narrow down the data:

    • Filter by Task

    • Filter by Operator

    • Filter by Resource

To export and analyze in detail:

  1. Click Export (top right of the Done table).

  2. Open the exported spreadsheet.

  3. Review all time tracking details for each task and identify performance gaps.

Tips

  • Actual time is automatically tracked only if operators Start, Pause, and Finish tasks via the Shop Floor App.

  • Tasks completed only from the Katana website will assign the Planned time as Actual time by default (unless manually changed).
