Maintaining an up-to-date customer database is essential for efficient operations. Katana allows you to delete customer profiles individually or in bulk, ensuring your contact list remains accurate and relevant.
Deleting a single customer

Select the customer you wish to delete by clicking on their name to open the customer card.
Click the three-dot menu (โฎ) located at the top-right corner of the customer card.
From the dropdown menu, select Delete.

Deleting multiple customers in bulk
Navigate to the Sell screen and click on the Customers tab.
Select the customers you wish to delete by checking the boxes next to their names.
To select a range of customers, check the box of the first customer, hold down the Shift key, and then check the box of the last customer in the range. All customers in between will be selected.
Once you've selected the desired customers, click the trash can icon ๐๏ธ located near the top-right corner of the table.

Important considerations
Data integrity: Deleting a customer is permanent and cannot be undone. Ensure that you no longer need the customer's data before proceeding.
Associated records: Deleting a customer does not remove associated sales orders or other records. These records will remain in the system but will no longer be linked to the deleted customer.
Permissions: Only users with the appropriate permissions can delete customers. To manage user permissions, navigate to Settings > Team and adjust the permissions accordingly.
