When connecting WooCommerce to Katana, you can map each WooCommerce store to a specific Katana location.

This ensures that:

  • Sales orders (SOs) from WooCommerce are imported to the correct Katana location.

  • Stock levels from that Katana location are synced back to WooCommerce.

Mapping a Katana location during setup

  • Location mapping is the first step of the integration connection flow.

Inventory locations step of the WooCommerce configuration
  • This step only appears if you have created multiple locations in Katana.

  • Select the Katana location you want to use for WooCommerce online store orders.

  • All SOs placed by customers in WooCommerce will be imported to the chosen Katana location.

Connecting multiple WooCommerce stores

  • You can connect several WooCommerce stores to one Katana account.

  • Each store can be mapped to either:

    • The same Katana location, or

    • A different Katana location, depending on your workflow.

Stock import from WooCommerce to Katana

  • Stock import is location-specific.

  • If you choose to import stock levels during the initial connection, quantities from WooCommerce will be imported to the Katana location selected in the mapping step.

Stock sync from Katana to WooCommerce

  • Stock sync is also location-specific.

  • The stock levels from the Katana location mapped to your WooCommerce store will be pushed back to WooCommerce.

Changing the mapped location

  • To change the Katana location linked to your WooCommerce store:

    1. Go to the Integrations Marketplace in Katana.

    2. Click Manage > Reconfigure within the WooCommerce window.

    3. In the first configuration step, select the new Katana location.

Note:

  • Orders already imported remain in the location they were originally mapped to.

  • Their “Ship From” location can be updated manually on the order.

Deleting a mapped Katana location

If you delete a Katana location that was linked to WooCommerce:

  • Order imports and stock sync will stop.

  • You must reconfigure the integration and map a different location before syncing continues.

Key takeaway

WooCommerce locations are always tied to a mapped Katana location. Mapping ensures orders and stock sync correctly, and reconfiguring allows you to update or fix mappings as your business changes.
