Take a look through this guide to set up an integration between Katana and Amazon Seller Central via Extensiv Integration Manager.

With this integration you'll be able to:

  • Import sales orders from Amazon → Katana

  • Import order-related product data from Amazon → Katana if matching products aren't found

Tip: This guide is relevant if you are using the Fulfilled-by-Amazon (FBA) program. If you are using a seller-fulfilled workflow, we recommend following this guide instead.

Extensiv Integration Manager, which is needed to connect to Amazon Seller, is specifically tailored to integrate solutions for order management. Through optimization and automation, Extensiv helps separate systems work together seamlessly. Best of all, connecting Extensiv to Katana takes only a few minutes.

Setting up the integration between Amazon and Katana

Once Extensiv integration has been established, head to Extensiv and select Carts from the menu on the left, and click "New Setup". Find Amazon from the list of available carts and choose the appropriate Amazon Marketplace.

Tip: Each Amazon Marketplace requires separate Carts connections.

  1. In the New Amazon Setup screen, fill in the API Information fields. Find instructions for your specific Amazon Zone here.

    • Seller ID - a publicly available ID number that identifies your storefront and the products you sell on Amazon

    • MWS Auth Token - a private ID number (essentially an API key), used to connect with Amazon MWS apps

  2. Adjust the settings in your Amazon Cart Setup to match your preferences.

    Important fields:

    • Item SKU Field - indicates which field Extensiv uses for the item's SKU

    • Order type - fulfilled-by-Amazon (to import both merchant-fulfilled and FBA order types, you need to set up two Carts connections)

    • Translate item’s code - Extensiv can translate item code to alias before sending it to Katana. The default value of WMS Master SKU will automatically search through item aliases and if a match is found, convert items to the WMS/Katana primary SKU before sending the order to your Katana account.

Tip: Extensiv can load either the Amazon ASIN number or the SKU into the variant code field of your Katana account. Your warehouse MUST provide the Amazon Item SKU with the inventory records (or as an item alias). Amazon only allows syncing inventory using the SKU, not ASIN.

  3. Configure Katana WMS Information block:

    • Warehouse - choose Katana as the location where orders will be loaded into

    • Auto Create Missing Katana Products - if you choose Yes, note that Extensiv is unable to determine Variant items from order data so any Products added to Katana will be added as new products, not variants

    • Overwrite Customer Info - FBA orders should go under one customer in Katana.

  4. Verify the connection works by clicking "Test" at the bottom of the page. If the test is successful, click "OK" to save your changes.

Voila 💃 Your setup for importing FBA sales orders and order-related product data to Katana is ready.
