The Adobe Commerce (previously Magento) integration allows you to connect your online store to Katana to save time on keeping both systems updated. Connect Adobe Commerce to Katana via Extensiv Integration Manager and automate the following workflows:
Inventory movement across sales channels
Sales order retrieval from Adobe Commerce to Katana
Customer-related shipping info importing to Katana
To get started, you’ll first need to connect to Extensiv. If you’re new to Extensiv platform, check out our detailed guide for connecting it to Katana. Once the Integration Manager is ready, you can connect Katana with Adobe Commerce.
NOTE: The latest version of Adobe Commerce is Magento2. For older versions, refer to these guides. To find out your version, log into the Admin panel and scroll to the bottom.
Steps to setup the Magento2 integration
Log in to Extensiv or create an account. Connect Extensiv to Katana if you haven't yet.
Once Katana is connected to Extensiv, head to their platform and select Carts from the left-side menu. Next, click New Setup and find Magento2 from the list of available carts.
In the New Magento2 Setup screen, fill in the API information. Then, click Grant Us API Access.
You will be directed to your Adobe Commerce (Magento) Admin page where you'll log in to your account (if it's not automatic). Use these details for updating Magento2 Admin section. Extensiv Integration Manager needs to be set up as a New Integration on the Adobe Commerce side.
If you don't have login access, click Share Setup Link, enter the client's email and click Save. They will receive a setup email. Here are instructions for the client to follow: Cart Setup Share
Confirm the connection and then return to the original Extensiv page where you will be informed if the connection was successful.
NOTE: By default, orders need a processing state for Extensiv to download them. Map your statuses to the desired state within Magento2 by going to Stores > Order Status.
Adjust the settings in your Cart Setup to match your preferences:
Relevant fields for syncing Sales orders and inventory updates:
Send Magento Confirmation Email when the order is marked as shipped.
Sync Inventory For Product Type:* - to save time, choose Extensiv to sync inventory levels to Adobe Commerce for all product types.
NOTE: Customize the integration and adjust fields according to your business needs. To read more about each setting just hover over the ? icon
Set up General Order and Inventory Options and review Katana WMS Information block:
Translate item’s code — Extensiv Integration Manager can translate item codes to aliases before sending them to Katana. The default value of the WMS Master SKU will automatically search through item aliases and, if a match is found, convert items to the WMS/Katana primary SKU before sending the order to your Katana account. Read more about product aliases here.
Auto Create Missing Katana Products — If you select Yes, Extensiv is unable to determine variant items from order data, so products added to Katana will be added as new products, not variants
Create Customer Addresses — If Extensiv creates a new customer in Katana, choose whether order processing billing and shipping information should be included in the customer profile.
Verify that the connection works by clicking Test at the bottom of the page. If the test is successful, click OK to save changes.
Your setup for importing Sales orders from Adobe Commerce to Katana and updating inventory levels automatically in Adobe Commerce is ready 🎉
NOTE: Extensiv to Katana integrations do not support Sales order fulfillment status updates, Shipping tracking, or Returns.
