Interested in setting up a connection between Katana and Amazon Seller Central? Using CartRover, it's now easy to integrate the two and be able to:

  • Import sales orders and related customer data from Amazon → Katana

  • Sync updated inventory levels from Katana → Amazon

  • Import order-related product data from Amazon → Katana if matching products aren't found

Tip: This guide is relevant if you are using the Merchant-fulfilled workflow. If you are using a program Fulfilled-by-Amazon, we recommend following this guide instead.

CartRover, which is needed to connect to Amazon Seller, is specifically tailored to integrate solutions for order management. Through optimization and automation, CartRover helps separate systems work together seamlessly. Best of all, connecting CartRover to Katana takes only a few minutes.

Setting up the integration between Amazon and Katana

Once a CartRover integration has been established, head to CartRover and select Carts from the menu on the left, and click "New Setup". Find Amazon from the list of available carts and choose the appropriate Amazon Marketplace.

Tip: Each Amazon Marketplace requires separate Carts connections.

  1. In the New Amazon Setup screen, fill in the API Information fields. Find instructions for your specific Amazon Zone here.

    • Seller ID - a publicly available ID number that identifies your storefront and the products you sell on Amazon

    • MWS Auth Token - a private ID number (essentially an API key), used to connect with Amazon MWS apps

  2. Adjust the settings in your Amazon Cart Setup to match your preferences.

    • Item SKU Field - indicates which field CartRover uses for the item's SKU

    • Prime Orders - Load Only non-Prime Orders

    • Order type - seller fulfilled (to import both merchant-fulfilled and FBA order types, you need to set up two Carts connections)

    • Translate item’s code - CartRover can translate item code to alias before sending it to Katana. The default value of WMS Master SKU will automatically search through item aliases and if a match is found, convert items to the WMS/Katana primary SKU before sending the order to your Katana account.

      Read more about product alias

  3. Configure Katana WMS Information block

    • Warehouse - choose Katana as the location where orders will be loaded into

    • Auto Create Missing Katana Products - if you choose Yes, note that CartRover is unable to determine Variant items from order data so any Products added to Katana will be added as new products, not variants

    • Overwrite Customer Info - FBA orders should go under one customer in Katana.

  4. Verify the connection works by clicking "Test" at the bottom of the page. If the test is successful, click "OK" to save your changes.

Voila 💃 Your setup for importing merchant-fulfilled sales orders to Katana and syncing inventory back is ready.

NOTE: The CartRover to Katana integration does not support Sales order fulfillment status updates, Shipping tracking, or Returns.

If you need help with the setup or customizing the workflow, the CartRover team is happy to help. You can contact them by selecting Support from the menu or using the Contact page.
