Efficiently managing returned items is crucial for maintaining accurate inventory levels. Katana streamlines this process by allowing you to restock returned items once they've been received and inspected.

Steps to restock returned items

  1. Access the return order:

    • Navigate to the Sell screen.

    • Click on the Returns tab.

    • Open the return order that has a status of Returned.

  2. Verify restock location:

    • If the items are being returned to a different location than what's shown in the Return to field, adjust the location:

      • Go to the Restock location column.

      • Select the correct location(s) for each item.

  3. Initiate restocking:

    • Once all items have the correct restock location, change the return's status to Restock.

    • A pop-up window will appear displaying all items to be restocked.

    • If necessary, add batch-tracking information for batch-trackable items.

    • Click Restock all to proceed.

  4. Completion:

    • The items will now be restocked into your inventory.

Note: You can perform this process multiple times for a single sales order (SO) if multiple returns are associated with it.
