How to connect Amazon FBA to Katana

Learn how to connect your Amazon FBA account to Katana, ensuring inventory matching and delivery of shipped orders to Katana.

Integrating your Amazon account with Katana enables importing and synchronization of inventory and shipped Amazon orders, ensuring real-time updates and streamlined operations.

You can connect multiple Amazon accounts to your Katana account and manage them independently to suit different operational needs.


Connecting Amazon FBA

  1. You can connect your Amazon FBA account to Katana from the Integrations Marketplace.

    1. Navigate to the Integrations Marketplace

    2. Search for "Amazon FBA" and click Connect

  2. Choose your account's Region/Country.

    1. Find your country's account under NORTH AMERICA, EUROPE, or FAR EAST

  3. Katana needs a unique location to store the inventory sent over from Amazon.

    1. Enter a name for the Katana location where Amazon inventory is stored

  4. Authorize the connection

    1. Press the continue button to be redirected to Amazon Seller Central

    2. Log in to your Amazon account

    3. Review access details of the integration, click the checkmark, and press Confirm

  5. You're now ready to confirm the integration details before activating the sync


Integration overview and import

Before you can activate the integration, you'll first need to import products from Amazon to Katana.

    1. If you need to match existing items in Katana with Amazon products, download the SKU template, add the corresponding data, and upload it back

  1. Once you're confident there are no mismatches in SKUs, you can run the import.

  2. After the import completes, you can activate the integration sync, which will push products and shipped orders from Amazon FBA to Katana.


Inventory reconciliation

Choose how often Katana will check the inventory between Amazon FBA and Katana and make corrections (stock adjustment) to avoid misalignment.

  • Daily or weekly

  • Choose the time of day (and which day if weekly)

  • Reconciliation can be manually run whenever you choose


Post-integration behavior

Amazon FBA inventory

  • Inventory from your Amazon FBA account will be sent to your specified location in Katana to make it easier to keep track of what's in stock.

Amazon orders

  • Shipped orders will be sent Katana as Delivered orders and stock movements will be made accordingly.

    • No customer data will be included with these orders, only an Order #.

Inventory alignment

  • Regular inventory reconciliation based on the schedule you choose

    • You can always run a manual alignment whenever you need
