Control who can access the Katana MCP

Written by David Lorbiecke

Control who has access to the Katana MCP.

What this permission does

The Access to MCP permission allows users to access and manage the MCP connection to an AI.

Note: If you're unable to access the MCP, it means you don't have this permission enabled.

Default behavior

  • Account Owners always have this permission enabled.

  • Users with unchanged default access do not have this permission.

  • The Owner can choose to share access with selected Users.

How to enable or disable this permission

For existing users

  1. Click your profile (top right) → Team.

  2. Select the user’s name.

  3. In the Admin tab, check or uncheck Access to MCP.

For new users

  1. Invite a new user.
