Customize the order of print templates found in print menus

Organize your print template dropdowns to match your team's preferred workflow.


Why reorder templates?

If you use multiple templates per document type (like sales orders or manufacturing orders), you can reorder them to highlight the most frequently used ones at the top of the print dropdown menu. This can save time and reduce printing errors.


How to change the order of templates

  2. Locate the list of templates
    Each section shows templates for a specific document type (e.g. purchase orders, tasks, stock adjustments).

  3. Drag and drop to reorder

    • Use the handle in the first column of each row to move the template up or down.

    • Your changes are saved automatically.

Where this affects your workflow

The order you set will appear in the Print dropdown menu for that document type across Katana. For example, reordering Manufacturing Order templates will change how they're listed when printing an MO.

This helps standardize processes and makes it easier for users to pick the correct template quickly.
