Decide whether custom items from BigCommerce should be imported into Katana as products.

When this applies

During the Order sync step of the BigCommerce connection to Katana (or when reconfiguring it later), you can choose whether to import custom items from BigCommerce sales orders (SOs) into Katana.

Setting

What happens

Checked

- Each custom item on a BigCommerce SO is imported into Katana as a new product.
- Custom items are not matched with existing products in Katana.
- A new product is created every time for each custom item.

Unchecked

- Custom items are not imported.
- They will not appear on SOs synced from BigCommerce into Katana.

Key notes

  • This setting ensures flexibility: import custom items if you want full visibility in Katana, or exclude them to avoid clutter in your product list.

  • Custom items will never sync to existing products in Katana, even if their names or SKUs are similar.

With this option, you can control whether BigCommerce’s ad-hoc or one-off items become part of your Katana product list.
