In Katana, you can configure permissions for managing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and operations, ensuring that only authorized users can create, edit, or delete these key components. This is essential for maintaining control over your manufacturing processes and securing sensitive data.
Users with this permission enabled can:
Add BOM/recipe rows to product
Edit product BOM/recipe rows
Delete product BOM/recipe rows
Add Operations to product
Edit product Operations
Delete product Operations
Manage Operations from the Settings screen
This permission will always be enabled for the account Owner.
Regular users will have this permission enabled with default access.
Enabling/disabling the Manage BOMs/Operations permission
The Manage BOMs/Operations permission can be enabled/disabled when inviting a user by checkmarking Set custom permissions or afterward by clicking Team under your name in the top right, clicking the user's name, choosing Workflows and checking/unchecking Manage items.
