How to export production operations

Export production operations in Katana to streamline updates and data management.

Exporting production operations in Katana makes it easy to manage and update your data in bulk. You can download the data as an .xlsx or .csv file from the Items screen, edit it as needed, and import it back into Katana.

Perfect for backups, audits, or large-scale updates!


Where to export from

All production operation exports happen from the Items screen.

  1. Navigate to the Items screen from the top menu

    Shows the Items screen being selected
  2. Use the Export button in the upper-right corner


Export all production operations

If you want to export operations for all products:

  1. Click the Export icon in the top-right

  2. Choose:

    • Operations.xlsx (Excel file)

    • Operations.csv (CSV file)

The full list of product operations will download immediately.


Export selected production operations

To export operations for specific products:

Shows that some products are selected and then where to export those product operations
  1. In the Items screen, select the checkboxes next to the products

  2. Click the Export icon

  3. Choose:

    • Operations.xlsx

    • Operations.csv

Only the selected product operations will be included in the file.


What to do next

After exporting, you can:

  • Open the file in Excel or Google Sheets

  • Make edits (like updating times, costs, or operation names)

  • Re-import the updated file to Katana for bulk changes


Notes

  • Re-importing edited exports is ideal for updating large product catalogs.

  • Exporting does not delete or change anything—it’s a safe read-only action.
