Control who can access Settings in Katana and manage system-wide configurations.

The Access Settings permission determines who can view and edit Katana’s system-wide setup options. This ensures that only trusted users can change critical configurations such as currencies, tax rates, and resource settings.

Users with Access Settings enabled can configure product-wide settings, including:

  • Base currency, default delivery times, and lead times

  • Tax rates

  • Costing information

  • Barcodes

  • Shop Floor App settings

  • Data importing

They can also create and edit:

  • Units of measure

  • Categories

  • Operations

  • Resources

  • Locations

  • Print templates

Default behavior

  • Enabled by default for all Users.

  • The account Owner always has this permission.
