The Manage Stock permission allows you to choose who can manage stock data, ensuring only authorized users can change important inventory level information — great for maintaining data integrity in your account.
Those with this permission enabled can:
Create/Edit stock adjustments, stock transfers, and stocktakes
Edit an item's safety stock levels
Add/Edit the item's Default Bin location info
Create Batches in bulk via the Add new batch / lot numbers template
Update stock levels and values in bulk via the Update stock levels and stock values template
Update stock levels and Safety stock via the Update products/materials template
This permission will always be enabled for the account's Owner, while other users will have this permission enabled by default.
Enabling/disabling the Manage stock permission
Editing permission for a new user:
The Manage stock permission can be disabled when a user is first invited to the account, by clicking Edit under Default permissions and unchecking Manage stock in the Workflows tab.
If you enable the Manage stock permission for a user, you can also choose whether or not you want to also enable the Delete stock documents permission.
Editing permission for an existing user:
To enable/disable this permission for an existing user, click on your profile at the top right and select Team. Then click on the team member's name, choose the Workflows tab, and check/uncheck the Manage stock permission (and the Delete stock documents permission).
