If serial number tracking is enabled for a product, and a Manufacturing order (MO) is created, there is an additional step added in the Shop Floor Control App so that serial numbers can be reported when partially or fully completing the last task of the MO.
Reporting serial numbers when finishing the last MO task
To report serial numbers when finishing the last task of an MO, click on the Finish button and select the serial numbers of the products you are completing.
Reporting serial numbers when partially completing an MO
To report serial numbers when partially completing an MO from the last task of the MO, click the three-dot menu button, select Complete partially, enter the completed quantity, and report serial numbers.
Instead of selecting each individually, you can also auto-select numbers by clicking Select All. This selects numbers based on the order they appear for completed quantity.
Note: The MO can still be fully or partially completed if there is a mismatch in the quantity of available serial numbers and the completed quantity of product.
A notification in Katana's main UI will direct you to correct these situations by adding serial numbers to the products.
