You can export/download serial numbers to a spreadsheet to make inventory tracking and record-keeping more efficient. Exported data is easy to access and manipulate for comprehensive inventory management and compliance.

Serial number data can be exported from Katana from the Serial numbers tab on the Stock screen.

Serial number tracking is available via the Full Traceability add-on (automatically available on Professional plans). You can upgrade from the Subscription page in Katana.

Exporting from the Serial numbers tab on the Stock screen lets you filter results before exporting. Any filters applied in this area will also be applied to the export.

You can also export serial numbers from completed manufacturing orders (MOs) from the Settings screen > Data import > Update manufacturing orders with serial numbers (this file can also be used for uploading new serial numbers to completed manufacturing orders) and Update purchase orders with serial numbers (this file can also be used for uploading new serial numbers to received purchase orders (POs)).

Export serial numbers linked to MOs or POs by following these 2 steps.

  1. Go to the Settings screen > Data import.

  2. Find the Update manufacturing orders with serial numbers or Update purchase orders with serial numbers section and click Download data.
