Give your warehouse team access to manage inventory tasks in the Warehouse App.

Note: The Warehouse App is part of the Warehouse Management add-on, available in the Professional and Professional Plus plans. If you're on a Standard plan, you can purchase this add-on separately.

What are warehouse operators?

Warehouse operators are team members who use the Warehouse App to manage inventory tasks like picking, packing, and receiving. Each operator has a dedicated login and limited access—only to their assigned tasks in the app.

Who can add warehouse operators?

Only the account owner or users with the "Manage users and permissions" setting enabled can invite warehouse operators.

How to add a warehouse operator

  1. Log in to your Katana account on the main website.

  2. Click your account name in the top-right corner.

  3. Select Team from the dropdown menu.

Tip: You can also save or print the QR code and share it with the operator—useful for remote setup or future logins.

Re-logging in

The QR code and 6-digit login code are required every time an operator logs in. We recommend printing or saving the QR code and keeping it at the workstation.

To log in to the Warehouse operator account later, take a look at these instructions.
