When dealing with batch- or serial-number-tracked items, it's important to be able to track each item's journey in case of recalls.

With supply chain tracing, you can gain a clear picture of the entire journey of your items.

Note: The feature is included with the Full Traceability add-on

Where to find the Traceability explorer

  1. Head to the Stock screen and open either the Batches or Serial numbers tab.

  2. From here, head to the right-most column of the table, and you'll see a clickable icon.

  3. By clicking this icon, you'll open a pop-up that lets you explore the lifecycle of a serial-numbered or batched item.

Using the Traceability explorer

Top row

The top row gives you a quick visual of how many of this batch/serial number are at risk, how many are on a customer order, and (for serial numbers), how many are associated.

Quarantine

The quarantine table lets you quickly see how many items are likely no longer usable and their locations. As items in quarantine often warrant a stock adjustment or transfer, there are quick-add buttons for both here.

Customer impact

This table allows you to examine the number of shipped orders that contain a particular batch or serial number item as well as order number associated and date of shipment

Investigate

The investigate section provides you with a clickable visual display so that you can jump between different variants, their material sources, and so on to view the unique lifecycles of each.
